S1. Prepare your walls before applying the wallpaper
The foundation of the wall has to be in one uniform colour (preference in white) before hang with wallpaper.

2. Apply the paste to the wall with a roller.
There is no need for a pasting table, the wallpaper does not need to soak, no waste of time!

Always apply a paste overlap of about 15 – 20 cm wider than the width of your Wallpaper length, to prevent the paste roller from touching the length already applied.  

Remove all excess paste rests from the wallpaper with a damp cloth before the paste is dry.


3. Apply the Wallpaper directly to the wall.
Advantage: Clean work, simple to correct and to smooth out.

The Muurbloem Wallpaper is delivered on rolls with numbered lengths. Remove the protective covers carefully from the sides and cut the lengths loose. The lengths are numbered 1 to x.

Link the numbered lengths up tightly, leaving no seam between the separate lengths. Some designs come without a pattern at the top. The mark on top will then serve as a reference point for the next length.

Unless agreed otherwise, your Wallpaper is delivered with a 5 cm overlap on top, bottom and end sides to compensate measuring differences. Do take this into account when applying the first length. See also the image on this same page.

Tip: Roll up the Wallpaper with the rear side to be pasted out, making it possible to unroll the length easily and accurately in the layer of paste on the wall. To smooth out and press the seams you use the wallpaper spatula and a seam roller.  

Take your time to apply the Wallpaper to the wall. The success of the Wallpaper greatly depends on the way in which the wallpaper is applied. When in doubt, call in a professional paperhanger.

4. Cut the wallpaper to size, ready!
Advantage: The Muurbloem Wallpaper can be cut to size more easily and accurately than soaked
paper.
Tip: The best way to cut to size at the ceiling and the skirting board is to use a wallpaper ruler and break-off cutter.  

Muurbloem Wallpaper is made of very strong so-called membrane wallpaper, which will hardly tear. However, as you are working with a unique product, it is advisable to take care while you work. If, for whatever reason, a length might tear, it is not possible for us make a 100% identical reproduction.
